William J. Burns, CPA, Attorney at Law

Attorney William Burns has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University, a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College and a Juris Doctorate from the Suffolk University Law School.  Attorney Burns spent three years as a senior accountant with KPMG and two years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a tax attorney.  Attorney Burns may practice law before all state courts within Massachusetts, the Supreme Court of the United States, the First Circuit Court of Appeals of the United States, the Federal District Court of Boston and the United States Tax Court.  Attorney Burns also holds a license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Certified Public Accountant.

Attorney Burns and his team conduct due diligence examinations for stakeholders looking to purchase assets, structure and document asset purchases, participate in entity turn-arounds, prosecute and defend lawsuits, and help document transactions to protect clients' interests. 

Attorney Burns has over 20 years experience personally performing due diligence examinations on billions of dollars in transactions on credits throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom.  As an attorney, Attorney Burns has recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars prosecuting lawsuits, defended lawsuits worth several hundred thousand dollars, helped turnaround several businesses each having several million dollars in revenue, drafts contracts that protect clients' interests, and served as an expert witness in litigation.
